Review by hotel critic
As a travel enthusiast and avid reviewer, I recently had the pleasure of staying at the lovely hotel on Colonsay. My journey to this remote Scottish island was initially met with some setbacks, as the only flight from Islay was unexpectedly canceled. However, the hotel staff graciously accommodated our change in plans, and we were able to reschedule our stay for the following day without any hassle. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was immediately struck by its convenient location near the ferry terminal. the staff went above and beyond to assist us, offering to store our bags and providing us with a delicious lunch and afternoon tea while we waited for our room to be ready. the room itself was cozy and comfortable, with a well-equipped bathroom and beautiful views of the surrounding gardens. One aspect of the hotel that truly stood out to me was the exceptional food. the garden, with its tranquil atmosphere and lovely garden furniture, provided the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the island. In terms of facilities, the hotel offered everything we could have asked for. From the flat-screen TV in our room to the free toiletries and electric kettle provided, every detail was thoughtfully considered. the off-site car park was convenient for those traveling by car, and the bar/lounge area was a cozy spot to enjoy a nightcap. Overall, my experience at the hotel on Colonsay was nothing short of delightful. the combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and delicious food made for a truly memorable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in a stunning island setting.
